I feel so sad today, as I stare at your grave wanting to turn and walk away, but there is so many things that I must say.
I’ll never get to say that the way you felt for me, I felt for you too.
Those jokes that we used to say, that we would get married and run away, are so long gone.
I feel the tears fall down like rain, and the warmth of the sun on my face, even though it’s a little less bright now that you’re gone but maybe that extra brightness was your smile all along.
I took you for granted but I would do anything to have you back and in my arms once more.
And we all know that you’re happy now, up there on your own little cloud, but I still can’t help but wonder if you miss me like I miss you, or if you’re also sad that I never had the chance to tell you I love you.
And still her tears fall down like rain.

    This poem is for my sister Amanda who never got to tell Erik that she loved him.
    So her tears fell like rain.
