Squeekers tumbled down the hill with his ill-begotten prize: a small chunk of swiss cheese.
The flowers bent and broke underneath his tiny body as his tumble came to a stop at the bottom of the flowered hill.
“At last!” he squeaked, “I have my cheese!”
He sniffed the air for the scent of peanut butter he had sensed on top of the hill and scampered off towards the scent.
His nose took him out of the flower garden and on to the green meadow in front of the house. On the grass, two of the smaller Mouse-Killers sat on a cozy-looking blanket sharing peanut-butter cookies!
Squeekers squealed with delight at the sight of the scrumptious snacks. He quickly tip-toed on all fours across the green meadow towards the Mouse-Killers. They appeared to be completely unawares of his sneak attack.
Squeekers giggled under his breath at the easy meal, and started to drag one of the cookies from the clay circle.
SLAM !
Squeekers squeaked from fright as he was hoisted into the air by his small tail.
“Got ya, mousy!”
