The Entry That Drags On [Website of Ficlets Challenge]

I had sat down on my chair, thinking about what my dad had just told me. This site…’Ficlets’....what would it be like? It sounded kinda dumb, frankly.

I mean, who’d sit down and write a small paragraph just for the fun of it? I like to draw things out, describe them, and give a good idea of the setting for the reader.

Ignoring my ever – so – annoying conscience, I turned to my computer and created an account.

NightMaiden, this was my nom de plume, and I was sort of proud of it.

It sounded a little intriguing…after pondering the mysteries of the unfathomable username, I got working on my first Ficlet about a lost dog.

Now, I look back, and I nearly try to make myself delete the Ficlet. But I don’t, because I actually received a few comments on it.

I’m proud to announce, about 278 Ficlets later (some well planned, and others…), I feel accomplished on this site.

And, to prove my dedication to the site (even if I don’t comment a lot) I am on a rural island, with sluggish slow Internet…
