The words were written boldy across the cover of an ancient and dust covered book. Faith had discovered it hidden among some old library books buried in the back of a storage closet. The title was barely visible, but it’s message was clear.

Tempting but clear.

In the dark, musty room in the recesses of the ancient library, it almost seemed as if the world outside had ceased to exist, as if she was the only person left. Her actions taken without consequence.

Her hands covered in white gloves she opened the cover of the book.

    Or is it just me who imagines Ash fighting with the Book of the Dead here?
    This is very cool. Love the Twilight Zone tone of the whole thing. Well done.

    OK, you know you are encouraging readers to click on this based on the title alone. ;) But it’s actually a neat little story. It can go in many different directions, should someone wish to sequel.
