I finished reading and commenting another ficlet and returned home when I noticed I had a new note. I smiled when I saw it was from Bartimaeus.

He explained about his day and how he was feeling. He also explained how when he feels like this, he writes because it is an amazing outlet and way better then alternatives (So true I thought to myself.) He also thanked me for my comment. I just had to reply.

Dear Bartimaeus,

You are very welcome! I’m glad I could get you to smile with just a silly little comment. And I’m also glad to hear you use Ficlets as an outlet… ya know… as opposed to other things. I hope things get better for you… But if you ever need someone to talk to, just let me know! Okay? haha, I feel silly writing this down. Oh well, maybe you’ll smile because of it. =D

After I sent my response, I went and re-read Bartimaeus’ ficlet. I could just imagine him sitting in his room feeling miserable and then writing about it, like I’ve done so many times.

    Using Ficlets as an outlet is definitly productive! That is a very cute little note.

    i think over half of the ficlets on here are probably outlets.
    i use ficlets as an outlet.

    Count me in with the “use ficlets as an outlet group”. There really is no better place to just write what you feel and not worry about who’s going to find out how you feel. Yay ficlets!
