“We’ll figure out all the details later. But, come on.â€? James beckoned me to follow him through the alley. Come on? Come on, to where, with who, when and why?

“Um I think I’ll stay with Trey.â€?

“I think you won’t.â€? James was staring at me, all serious.

“Excuse me?â€? I wanted to say, “OH NO YOU DIDN ’T!â€? but I just couldn’t bring myself to actually do it.

“Oh what? So you think because you boss Trey around that you can just boss me around, but it’s not going to work like that – AHH !â€? And then he picked up my legs, caught my shoulders and strolled away. “James! Put me down right now!â€? I struggled in his arms but he was cradling me like a baby.

“You wouldn’t shut up so this was my only choice.â€? I could tell he was enjoying it though. And maybe, just maybe this explained what he was after. But, no? He wouldn’t be after me if I’m with Trey. Or would he?
