Right. Well. It’s August 2nd, and I’m probably the only person on Ficlets that isn’t out getting that stupid Breaking Dawn book. It’ll be October before I can get my stupid Inkdeath book. Moving on.

Since nobody is on Ficlets but me, I declare this a Ficlets Holiday. Where nobody gets on Ficlets besides like three people.

And apologies for calling Breaking Dawn stupid, I’m just sick of hearinbg about it and PLEASE , you Twilight fans, if you think about giving me a summary, please imagine someone else is me. If I have any hope of not being burned out on it before I get the danged books(eventually) then I need to get the references I recieve to a minimum. Nobody cares aobut that though.

    I think most of the grownups are still here. I’ve been avoiding the Potters, the Inheritances, the Twilights, the Spiderwicks, the Gossip Girls, the Traveling Pants, and the Unfortunate Series. Not that there’s anything wrong with them, they’re just not my cup of tea. Actually, that’s not exactly true. I enjoy the Potter movies, but don’t want to spoil that experience by reading the last two books before the last 3 movies (Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows Parts 1 & 2) come out.

    omg… you are truly the one MOST AMAZING FICLETEER EVER !!!!!! Well, maybe not ever wink but still… More power to ya on hearing WAY TOO MUCH about freaking Breaking Dawn. UGH !!! My ex just sits there and talks about it 24/7!!! I think I’m about to have an anuerism!!!

    @BARomero: Not the Series of Unfortunate Events! You can’t hate them! I love those books just for their dark, random humor!

    And yup, all of my friends that are girls had a party the day before and went out at midnight to buy the book.

    The books aren’t bad, I must say, but they’re nothing to obsess about in my personal opinion.

    I don’t hate any of these books, I just never developed an interest in them. Actually, the only juvenile/young adult fiction I’ve read in my adult life has been the first three books of the Artemis Fowl series, which I quite liked…

    And I guess if they aren’t your thing, The Series of Unfortunate Events would be a little uninteresting. Same as any book, I guess!

    Artemis Fowl rocked. I was at borders yesterday, and the new one’s out (time paradox), and get this: It’s stand was right next to the Breaking Dawn one, and i was the only one looking at the AF book. Gah. It was sad.

    Again, there is nothing wrong with the Twilight series- I just couldn’t get into them. But I’m fine with everyone else liking them- as long as they don’t mention it to me :)

    That’s okay, I’ll forgive you for that Breaking Dawn comment, seeing as I finished it in less than 36 hours and found it to be AMAZING .
    And, I can’t wait for Inkdeath. Hopefully, Farid and Meggie will succeed in bringing back Dustfinger.

    Okay, in my defence, I was not & have not read any of the Twilight books because 1) I have too many other things I want to read, and 2) I was at a Renesaince Festival all day last week. But I’m glad there is/was a ficlets holiday! yay!

    haha, I know this is pathetic. ((that im just now getting around to commenting this blog)) but I didnt really like artemis fowl… and i love the twlight series, but i agree that its quite… odd to be obsessed with it. Oh and yay for a ficlets holiday!

    The Twilight series is ok. I read Breaking Dawn… went to a release party because release parties are fun and my friends wanted to go… and it actually wasn’t bed. But not amazing. It’s got nothing on Harry Potter

    the faculty at my school have started a book club. we’re reading twilight. still have to buy it, though i heard good things.
