Anna could feel her face turn pale. Even though she knew she’d be fine, she still got scared. She was so close to death & she hadn’t even known it. A very scary thought indeed.
Jack saw the fear. “This is why I didn’t want to tell you,” he said taking her hand.
Anna shook her head. “No. No it was right for you to tell me.” Anna yawned.
Jack smiled softly, “You should get some rest.”
“I’ve been getting enough of that thank you.”
Jack’s smile suddenly turned mischevious.
He leaned in & kissed her almost violently! When he stopped, Anna was trying to remember how to breathe. He whispered in her ear, “Please get some sleep Anna,”
Anna’s smiled grew wide. “You stole my move.”
Jack laughed, “I’ve been waiting for a chance to do that.”
“Alright I’ll try to sleep. But not because of your kiss, because I want to.” she said smiling.
“Hah, whatever works.” he said smiling too.
30 min later Jack was sure Anna was asleep. He called a nurse over.
“Can you watch them? I have some business to take care of.”
