“C’mon, Max!” Netto scolded. “Go faster!”

I was trying to dodge bullets again, slowing time less and less each time. The whole goal was so I could eventually dodge bullets without even manipulating time.

So far I’ve gotten shot in the arm about ten times. I’ve had to reverse time each time I got shot just so we can do it over again.

“We have to stop, Netto.” I said. “I’m not gonna be able to take much more of this.”

“Listen.” Netto, persisted. “I know you are faster than this.”

“I just got back from my best friend trying to kill me!!” I exploded. “I also had to showboat to him everything I have, and then some, just to intimidate him out of consciousness!! And for no purpose, at all!!!”

Netto sighed. “You’re right, take a break. We’ll get back to this tomor-”

Rade’s main alarms screeched their emergency siren.
