“Seriously Max, you shouldn’t fall asleep during horror movies,” Kylie told him, giving him a quick kiss. “You kept saying you were gonna die.”
Max smacked his lips, remembering his unsavory dream. “Yeah, at the hands of that psycho.”
“Not a nice dream?” Kylie asked, laughing and sitting back. Her auburn hair was much more prettier (at least to him) than the ever changing colors of Mary Sue.
“Not in the least.”
“You glad I woke you up?”
“Most definitely.”
“Do you remember what happened during the movie?”
“Pretty much,” Max nodded, ruffling up his hair.
“Would you like to watch the rest?”
“Sure.”
“Would you like a kiss?”
“Ye—what?”
Kylie laughed at his red face, clutching at the remote and letting tears of mirth gather in her eyes.
“You should have seen your face! Priceless!”
They were soon laughing together.
Max took her hand, and laced his fingers through hers. “I solemnly swear that I’ll never leave you for Mary Sue,” he whispered.
Kylie’s head turned back slightly. “What?”
