Scott smiled to himself before staring out the window. Now, he’d be able to sleep at night. Now, he’d be able to stay in town more than a few nights. Now, he had to potential to be loved by many.
Pinky, however, was not so optimistic. People will never like us. People never like people like us. People like average people. People like average people. People like average people… This, you see, was her quest; this is not to be forgotten.
“What will be our first act of goodness?” Scott breathed suddenly. “Every hero must have their start, ya know.”
Pinky sighed. If only he wasn’t so hung up on this goodness thing! “We should start with something simple. Simple but noteworthy.”
They drove on in silence for a few moments. The simple fact was, that it’s easy to say you’ll be a hero, but first you must find an opportunity. And, if you’re looking for one, you’ll find it.
“Pull over!” Scott yelled frantically.
