“When cockroaches are born, they’re this semi-translucent shade of white, pure and virginal. And over time they turn that hideous shade of brown. Some folks have hair that’s that shade of brown and most of us think it’s just lovely, and when it turns white, all we want to do is taint it again, turn it back into brown. I never got that. It never made any sense.’
