“Yes, I was rather curious”, I replied. Lucky then said, “it all started 3 years ago”… he began his story.
“ I was sitting in the park, minding my own business when I saw the bushes I was sitting by rustle. My first thought was that it was a chipmunk, or a squirrel, that was making its way into the nearby forest. Then, I saw a flash of green. I couldn’t believe my eyes. It appeared to be a .. a leprechaun. I almost fell over”, the old man said.
“A LEPRECHAUN ?”, I shouted. “Yes, a leprechaun”, Lucky said. “But how?”, I said. “You see, I study leprechauns”, he said. “And he was probably looking for a place to put his gold.” “That explains why he was running to the forest, to hide his gold!”, I said. “Exactly, now , back to the story”, he said.
“The small man then turned his head”, Lucky continued, my big eyes and his little, beady eyes locked. I wanted to shout, but I didn’t. Then I heard a yelp that sounded like someone saying help.
