Conversation with Myself

I flopped down on my bed, sighing, and automatically reached for my pillow. What I had just seen and learned bounced around my head.

I can’t believe her! I screamed inwardley, letting out another sigh of frustration. So much for trust…

I took a deep breath in and let it out slowly, calming myself in the process. I shut my eyes tight, words bouncing around my head.

“But she’s your mother!” A voice whispered to me.

Yes, I realize she’s my mother… I told myself. That doesn’t mean it gives her the right to go through all of my stuff.

“She wants to make sure you’re okay, and not doing anything bad.” The voice responded.

Well, if there was any reason why she should worry I could understand… but I’ve been nothing but an angel… I’m starting to wonder if her trust is worthless, seeing as she doesn’t trust my judgement and needs to snoop.

“So, what are you going to do?”

I stayed on my bed for awhile, realizing I couldn’t do anything because she’d deny it all…
