Residing Dreams (Chapter 218)

“So it was because…” Casimir began. But then he stopped. He didn’t have to say what we had both grown to know. “Because he was gay,” I finished anyways. “You know, it’s hard when someone you love so much is the same person that others hate with un undying fury,” I reflected. “But sometimes, I felt like I despised him also,” I admitted. “He acted like such a coward this year. He couldn’t bear to tell me the words, ‘Honey, I’m homosexual, and I’m attracted to other members of the male species.’ But he implied it, in his own way. I know that he was insecure, and he was afraid that his own daughter would turn against him too. Yet I never would. I never could. He tried his best, and his best was amazing. I guess fate is just too cruel sometimes,” I reflected some more.
