I could smell the coffee from the coffee shop just around the block. It smelled absolutely lovely. My best friend was meeting me there for a small coffee chat in about 20 mins. I jumped into the shower, threw on my clothes, made myself presentable and ran down to the shop. She was just walking up the walk as I was.
We greeted with hugs and hello’s and proceed inside to order our coffee and pastry. The counter girl took our orders and motion us to take a seat. We found a comfty couch and sat down. Just as our coffee was being set down in front of us, my best friend tells me she is thinking about leaving her job. I looked down at my coffee and gasped ” look! my coffee is smiling at me!” the foam had separated into a smiley face. My best friend started to crack up and said “well at least everything in your life is pristine!”
I thought for a moment, no my life isn’t pristine. so I said “No, it’s never pristine, my dear BUT I bet you I could score on ebay with this cup of coffee!”
