“O ok,â€? I say and swallow hard.

“See ya later sista,â€? I say to my sister who I completely lost in Ashton’s eyes.

“Ya sure,â€? She says, not leaving Ashton’s eyes.

Edwin takes my hand walks me to my class and I walk with my head down. I can’t stand the look on Chris’s face. It is horrible. The whole walk is full of silence.

“Goodbye Hazel,â€? He says when we reach my class.

“Bye,â€? I say and look into his eyes.

He looks for a moment than walks away. I walk in my classroom once again annoyed. Chris is already in class and sitting in the back. I take a seat in the middle, fearing he will not want to be anywhere near me. Setting my stuff down I walk to him. He forces himself not to look at me.

“What do you want?â€? He growls.

“I wanted to say I am sorry. I really did not want things to happen the way they did.â€?

“How is that possible? You could have said no to him.â€?

“It is much more complicated than that.â€?
