I snuggle up to him and sip my hot chocolate. We watch the fire dance and make small talk. A thought hits me and I get up.

“There is a Christmas tree that needs to be set up. Help me set it up?â€?

“Sure!â€? He says

I lead him down into the basement and we both bring up a box.

“What are you guys doing?â€? I hear Amber ask as we reach the top of the stairs.

“We’re going to set up the ole Christmas tree!â€?

“Yey, Ashton! Come on, we’re going to set up the Christmas tree!â€?

Ashton comes and we all bring up boxes.

“It’s a fake tree, but Hazel and I set it up every year,â€? Amber explains as we open the boxes of tree pieces, ornaments, and lights.

“Hey, Amber! It’s our Santa hats!â€? I put on my hat.

“Very nice,â€? Edwin says.

I toss Amber her hat.

“There we go, now we are ready to set up this tree,â€? Amber says and laughs.
