6: Pray they're not Pirates

by Richard Peck

“You should be getting back to your cabin now Emma.”

“Ron, the other JABs won’t try anything on us will they?

”...I’m sure we will be perfectly fine.”

Emma put her hand on Rons shoulder. “Ron?”

”...There have been known attacks between JABs, but I have no enemies. Never the less, I dont want you around when we confront.”

“Confront?! What makes you think they will confront us?”

“It’s rare for 2 Jabs to meet anywhere, let alone the middle of the Atlantic. These 2 must have been looking for us. If you want, ill check on you in your cabin after they leave us.

“Thanks Ron.”

Ron watched her long wet hair sway behind her as she ran back to her cabin, as he prayed they wern’t pirates. Gordan stuck his head from a window in the helm.

“Captain, would you join us please?”

“I’ll be right up.”

Ron climbed the spiral staircase where he found Gordan standing behind Evan who was piloting the Red Bell.

“They will be upon us in about 30 minutes Captain.”
