Black Gowns

by Laine P. Grey

They stood out in the dirty streets. Somehow, the black of their gowns was brighter than the monotonous gray of the underbelly of society.

Every once in a while, someone would stop them and ask for prayer. The nuns would halt and murmur prayers, then continue on.

They stood out in the dirty streets. Somehow, the black of their gowns was brighter than the monotonous gray of the underbelly of society.
