Her lips felt soft as they grazed his.
She was giving him a choice, a moment in which to decide if this was going to be something they could shake off and forget or something that would impact the rest of their lives and change their friendship forever.
He felt slightly disoriented in a sea of emotion. He couldn’t really tell if his eyes were open or closed. He could see her but then again he always saw her regardless of his eyes. He felt her pause.
She was readying to draw back. It let him know that the decision was now acted upon or forever lost.
Just before she pulled away he took her close.
And he never let her go.
