Protector

I showed up as planned. Judith was waiting with only a long t-shirt and a small bag.
“You can’t go like that!” I exclaimed.
“And why not? I shall, you can’t persuade me otherwise.” Her chin lifteed defiantly. If I had only turned my head, then I would have seen Lucas peering through the window.
We trooped up to the attic, and suddenly, she gasped.
“What?” I asked sharply.
“I see the door, now!” Her hand covered her mouth.
“Of course! This time, you were looking for it.” We walked through, again entering the majestic hall. Princess Tuesday sat, waiting for us. “Judith. Naystrium. And you have brought a third?” She questioned. I about-faced, only to turn back again.
“I assure you, your majesty, I had nothing to do with this.” Tuesday dismissed it with a gentle wave of her hand.
“Do not worry. You are Judith’s guide. But I will make this youth her protector.” Lucas came to her throne. “I, Tuesday, princess of all Phynia, hereby declare Lucas Warshaw Protector of Judith Smith and all in her presence.”
