Grace

The rain was pooring down. He was soaking wet and standing looking up at the steeple. How could his bloodstained hands ever be welcome in that church?
He walked up to the front of the church. The Bible layed open to a bloodstained page.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten son that whosover belived in Him shall never die, but have eternal life.”
The man wept uncontrollably. What had he done with his life? Those years with marijuana and alchohol haunted him. How could he live his life knowing he had killed his best friend in a car accident. But by reading this passage in John, he knew it would be alright. He was loved so much by someone who died to save his life. He could never be worthy of this, but with God’s grace, the man could forgive himself.
“Show me how far it is from one hand to the other.” God knows how far it is from the east to west. From one scarred hand to the other.
The man walked out of the church a new man, one who would serve God forever and ever.
