Yellow Staircase

I awoke to find myself on a yellow staircase.
Where am I? I thought, but there was no one for me to ask. Nothing to do but climb, and I began my ascent.

At midpoint, I was stopped by a strikingly blue woman. She reached out her hand to grasp mine, as her skin turned a greenish hue, and her fingers scratched my palm.
“Turn back, oh, man.” She pointed to the direction from which I had come.

Not daring to disobey her, I had returned to my waking point within a few moments. I realized now, that a small door had appeared in the wall. This is way too much like Alice In Wonderland_._ I opened the door, and looked inside…
