Reason

Holding up the facade tired her, and there were many days she second-guessed herself, on whether or not it was worth it. Then a flood of memories of him came..
“I just can’t give you what you need, I’m so confused, and I love you, but, she has my heart. I am so sorry that I hurt you..”
Her heart hung up the phone, but yet she still held it, a bewildered expression on her face, and her broken soul expressed through the blue-brown color of her eyes.
Her eyes had always been expressive, a feature both enthralling to others, and annoyance to her; for every emotion could be read through the colors. Being a very unique hazel, they contained a deep golden orange in the center and were surrounded by a dark yet bright forest green, which changed shades, providing a built-in mood ring, so to speak.
A soft sigh escaped, as he gazed into her eyes, seeing fully the damage he had caused. Yet he couldn’t resist encircling her in those very arms she had avoided for so long.
