A Room with The View

Busy eating her tasteless lunch – luxurious food was another thing Rebecca had decided to sacrifice in order to maintain her business-like figure and aura – Rebecca had not noticed the young man enter. She had instructed her secretary not to let anyone in until Rebecca was done eating.

Clearing his throat, Kevin said hello. There was not one trace of discomfort in his voice or his body. Looking up somewhat reluctantly, Rebecca was instantly stunned by the wonder contained in the man who was currently standing in front of her. If easiness in life was to be bottled, the innards persused her office.

“Excuse me? What do you want?” Rebecca peered over her brown glasses, examining Kevin with sincere awe.

“Oh, just wanted to paint the view. Everyone says it is the best in the city.” Kevin pointed, nonchalantly, towards the window, which happened to have a beautiful view, with his dirtied paintbrush…

    I like your style of writing, and how you told the story by going back and forth. You give us their personalities, good characters.
