Infinite Peak

High atop Infinite Peak, past the clouds and lower rocks, sat the Fountain of Youth. But it was not abounding with life as it usually was. The Fountain, and all the vegetation around it, was dead. An empty crater in the ground, as though all the water and life had been sucked out.

Deep within the mountain, through layers and layers of sediment and mineral, was the core. It slowly bubbled and frothed, momentary blasts shaking the whole mountain.

The force was growing stronger. The mountain was quaking more than ever; all the bundled energy of a million years roiled just beneath the surface.

Infinite Peak was erupting.
