Ficlets

As she layed sprawled, facedown on the cool linolium her mind wandering away. She kept trying to recall how it had come to this. Before she could come up with anything she heard a loud BANG . The pain that overwhelmed her was like no other. Her breathing became fast and sharp as if she had been running, running away from the terror of a boyfriend that was standing over her.

_“I’m sorry, but I had no other choice.”_The voice sounded distant and faint, like a whisper traveling on the wind.

The tears were starting to come now, as I layed on the damp floor. Inside I knew, my life was over. I picked up my head to look at my old friend, the hot tears streaming down my face dripped on to the floor making tiny puddles.

“Why, Danny? Why?” I managed to squeeze out with the little breath I had.

I turned over in the pool of blood forming around me to look up into his cold, harsh face. Before I could get an answer I saw everything go blurry, and felt my body become numb.

And then everything when dark.
