The Whole Truth, The Total Truth, And Nothing But The Truth

Or so the previous narrator would have liked you to think. For cliched though it was, that was not the end of the story. In fact, the real story was not cliched in the least. The first story happened to be narrated by the “Prince of Antelle” (actually a miller’s son quite gifted at storytelling) himself, so naturally, he had to go and make himself sound all heroic and brave.

Nay, the true story was in fact much more realistic, involving the generous and kind Wizard of the West, the Dragon of Antelle, the Lake of Eternal Despair, the Cliffs of Endless Infinity, the wedding of Princess Zephya, the assassination of King Hugo XXXXVI and several severe instances of equine indigestion.

So saying, let us begin with the real story, also known as The Whole Truth, The Total Truth, And Nothing But the Truth (as narrated by the Wizard of the West, quite a handsome fellow, really…).
