Tags for Life

Tags…Personally, I think they show more about the author than they do about the particular story they’re attached to.

I love to put as many tags as possible on my story, especially because they can add a little bit of something to the story, rather than just abbreviate it. Apparently, many people don’t share my affinity. I have few contacts, but I looked through their tags, and they don’t have nearly as much variation in theirs that I do. Also, mine don’t say as much about my subject matter as theirs do. My most common words show that I am a rather disturbed individual (with words like hallucination and loss), that I’m concerned about school and family (detention, inheritance), and perhaps, that I’m also a bit of a romantic, with my most common words of all being love and beach.

Those make sense I suppose, living surrounded by water and having known a lack of love in my family, but also knowing a star-crossed love from far away.

...Such simple things as tags can say so much about a person.

Very nice. Nobody ever would’ve thought to write a ficlet about tags, underappreciated as they are.
