Day 37
Our research team has been snowed in for 5 days now, and the timing couldn’t be worse. The supply run from Fairbanks got scrubbed leaving us eating emergency rations that have been stored up here since the 70’s. Maybe Glen will actually lose some weight.
Celeste made another comment about my hair today, and it wasn’t nice. I really thought we hit it off that first week, but since then she’s been downright rude. Go figure, 6 people isolated in the far North, and the cutest girl thinks I’m a dork.
Kerry and Chad were at it again at lunch. Geez, you’d think they were married. We all thought they were already a couple that first day, but now, well, obviously they don’t like each other.
Sarah made another k.d. lang reference today, so I’m upgrading my suspicion to mauve from light orange. And from the distance the other girls keep from her, I may have upgrade that further to burnt umber.
I’m not saying I came up here to find romance, just to get credit towards my degree, but things could be better.

    In case you’re wondering, the law of propinquity is a psychological term for demystifying coupling. The idea is that you wind up dating people that you are around regularly, a principle demonstrated in just about any Hollywood movie you see, whether it’s a romance or action movie.

    You should write a sequel called the “Coolidge Effect” – that would make for an interesting twist. Or is twist the wrong word – maybe “bump n grind” would be more suitable…

    love the story told in journal form, really makes it interesting, and i like dialouge, you made me likes stroies with only the thoughts of one character.
