once upon a time
darkness threatened to take the life away… we sat in corners huddled together not knowing what to do,,,, we had been disobedient and this was our punishment. “someone must do something!” what had been the sin,,, how were we to make it right? a sacrifice…. a giving of self, of soul and spirit. wind sang past our ears,, it whispered to each one but no one could understand,,until…. the little one.. the little one understood,, his eyes shining… around his head a halo,,,, he smiled as the gossamer wings spread and he took flight… we watched as he flew through the clouds,, parting them,, giving back our lives,,, giving back the sun…..
