The smell of gunpowder is suddenly overpowering, he feels the urge to cough but is unable. A curious feeling begins to dance across his body, and suddenly none of it matters. The pain from the chipped tooth disappers before it begins. The hot metal of the barrel was now burning his mouth and tugged at his top lip like teeth pulling at a lip trying desprity to prevent the end of a kiss, not wanting the moment to end.
All at once he realized the world didnt hate him, he was just too often for his liking, at the brunt of necessary events. He thought this great action could defy fate, but now realized even his twisted logic was part of fate. Fate was the ever and never changing rule of life, it was nothing and everything all at once. Even now this event he thought would make such a statement, suddenly seemed insignificant. It was just another event.
