Apology NOT Accepted, part 5
Gemma, Mi, and the gang were in the lunch room in a minute, at their usual table. I couldn’t eat, I was so excited.
Everyone was talking and chattering, the lunchroom filled with its normal amount of craziness. Then Gemma opened her lunch box.
“ AHHHHHHHHHH !” She gave a blood-curdling shriek.
Silence roared in the cafeteria.
Then chaos broke loose.
Gemma ran screaming from the lunchroom, most kids were yelling questions to each other in confusion. Some ran over to Michaela’s table for a look at the spider. All the girls at the table jumped up and ran out, too—most likely to wherever Gemma had disappeared.
The principal and three supervisors couldn’t restore order, given to the fact that the spider had escaped and no one had any idea where it was.
Mi came over to my table, choking with laughter, barely able to breath. “Aw, that was priceless!” she laughed.
I grinned. Best friends forever, I thought.
It was good to be back to normal.
