Solitude (Fifteen Years Later)
Bradley had ruined his own life. He had betrayed his sister, whom he loved dearly; he had lost contact with his two best friends, one of whom he was in love with; and he always seemed to feel in his sister’s shadow. She was always getting the standing ovation, and he was always in the crowd, clapping.
He had found his life a desperately boring routine- he was always the clapper, never getting up to take the standing ovation. He could not stand up; it seemed like his sister had bound him to the chair, forever.
And he could not escape.
