A boy named Charlie, at the young age of nine, was walking through the forest trees, looking for his lost dog. He heard a bark and smiled, for he thought it was his dog. He ran toward the bark. He came to the place where he thought he heard the bark and stopped. He became afraid, for it was getting dark and the snow started to fall from the sky.Then, he heard the sound of footsteps behind him, the sound of a faint scream, and the sound of a heart beating… fast.
He turned around and saw nothing and when he turned back to go farther into the forest and he saw a boy, who was kneeling, hands covering his face and crying. He looked next to the boy and saw a girl, dead. He frowned and said, “What happened?â€? and the boy sniffled, a tear falling down from his eye, and said in a sorrowful voice, “I don’t know.â€?
