My walk home was uneventful, though the adrenaline still pumped madly in my veins. A lone streetlamp loomed nearby, flickering dully. I tried in vain to ignore my thoughts. They were unsafe; Unfamiliar territory. Rebellion… so far away, but so compelling. I shook my head roughly- It wasn’t worth it.

His green eyes haunted my dreams. They stared at me intently, as if willing me to do something. And I could only stand there, unable to move, incapable of diving into the unknown. Powerless to make the choice I knew I should.

The night was no comfort to me as I lay there helplessly. I sat up swiftly, glaring at the dark like it was my enemy. Rising noiselessly, I dressed, unsure of what I was even doing, skeptical of my sanity.
