Voices

Dolly hated her sister. She had to get rid of her once and for all. Voices in Dolly’s head were telling her to kill her sister. The voices were insatiable, Kill her, over and over again. Lolly and Dolly were inseparable. Closer than any two people could possible be.
When you saw one, you saw the other. Lolly was the bossy one, Dolly was more timid. They went where Lolly wanted to, when she wanted to go. If Lolly had a date, Dolly had no choice but to tag along. People stared at them.
They were never apart. But Dolly knew she could not spend the rest of her life like this. They argued all the time.

Kill her.

Dolly longed to be on her own. Free. Separated. Her own person for once. Dolly hated her sister so much.

“We’re going to the mall today,” Lolly stated.

“I have a headache Lolly, can’t we stay home for once,” Dolly pleaded.

Kill her.

They never did anything apart from the other. Until Dolly gave in to the voices’ and chopped off Lollys’ head.
No longer conjoined, Freedom at last.
