snow covered hills under the harvest moon
Like a snow covered mountain, laid her shoulder before me, in the darkness of the night, only touched by the smooth light of the harvest fullmoon.
How I loved fall, with it’s warm, cozy evenings and the big moon, hanging so close up above in the sky, that you could almost touch it.
A small sigh escapes your lips. What are you dreaming about? I can’t sleep, even though I am tired. But knowing you beside me, scares me. I am afraid of every moment I’d be missing, if I would close my eyes and go to sleep, like you did.
How can you sleep? I feel lonely, when you don’t look at me. Am I in your dreams? You are in mine, that, I can tell you.
A big sigh escapes my lips. Only the moonlight is allowed to touch you. I feel clumsy, not being able to touch you as softly as the moonlight does. I would just wake you up. Would you be angry at me?
My head grows heavy. Can I put it to rest, next to yours? Your hair smells so sweet. I would wrap myself into it, if I could. I wish I would have told you what I feel.
