A Ridiculously Unplausible Love Story, or Why Does His Shirt Keep Coming Off? Part Three
Out from the pilot’s cabin came four people: Romeo, Eunice, Juliet, and Bert/Ernie. Eunice and Romeo were holding small velvet-covered boxes.
“Sorry, all,” said Ernie/Bert in an English accent which, far from making him sound sophisticated, only made him sound more disturbing than ever. “Sorry, but we need to use this room for a bit. The pilot’s cabin is rather cramped, I’m afraid.”
Girl and Guy looked at each other with a mixture of revulsion and dread. “Sure, you can use it…I guess…” Girl replied warily.
“Thanks so much!” said Juliet, in a strange southern accent that sounded suspiciouly fake.
“Allright, here goes:” Romeo kneeled down on the plush carpet and looked up at Juliet. “Juliet, my love, will you-”
“Yes?” Juliet clasped her hands in front of her face and looked hopefully at Romeo. Guy rolled his eyes, and Girl said, “awww…”
“Will you marry me?” said Romeo so handsomely, it made the world record book.
“Of course, Romeo! I love you too!” said Juliet, swooning.
