Just a Memory?

You are fading, my fingers outstretched towards your evanescing silhouette. My fingers that are now empty. I saw you hand in hand with her, caught that sorry glance you bestowed upon my broken figure. You quickly turned away, back to your happiness. Did I ever cross your mind, somewhere in that beautiful head, did a thread of memory with my name on it find its way to the spindle? An empty chat room, an unanswered phone, an echoing doorbell. I tried, desperately, to once again get your attention. Couldn’t you have let me know that I was being replaced, let me hear the words from your own lips, not letting me hear her laughter from when you’re together? I am now alone, reminiscing, seeing you in every particle of light, every shadow, every thing.
