Could be an interesting exploration of what it means to be a “good person” and the human drive to excel or better one’s self. I take it a seer will be involved somehow, either the main character developing that skill or seeking council from one, both of which could work, although the former runs the risk of being indulgent (main character too good, fortunate, lucky, etc.) The key will not be in the idea but how human and relatable you can make the characters dropped into your overall premise.
That was a long, rambling comment. I meant to say, yes, I think it could be an interesting premise, setting, and concrete challenge to put in front of your character. Just make sure it’s a character that the reader can become concerned enough about to care if he lives up the challenge.
