Is there going to be a sequel? What’s the story he wants to tell?

I’m not exactly following the rules of the challenge (although the first line is a song lyric).
Every line of dialogue (everything within quotes) is the first line of a Pink Floyd song. I’m not going to tell you what they are. You’re welcome to post a note listing any you recognize, if you’d like (or, you can send the list of songs to Old Pink, c/o The Funny Farm…)

I wasn’t planning on doing a sequel, preferring to keep the scene enigmatic: is this a sinister meeting, or a mundane one? Are they spies? Criminals? Accountants? Is there something important in the case or is it just an insurance policy?
Anyone who wants to write a sequel, can. It would be amusing if you kept to a similar theme (dialogue = first lines from songs by Pink Floyd or a band of your choosing).

OK, looks like I’m going to have to dust off my old Pink Floyd cd’s and do some research. ;) This was very creative on your part and it seems like it must have been fun to do. It also leaves room for sequels. I might just write one, if the pile of papers I need to grade doesn’t get the better of me first!

An ambitious idea, and it mostly worked. Some of the lines wound up just a tad too random for the scene.
