Dream Challenge: Lost
We’re in the woods. It’s nighttime, dark, sort of spooky. Anna, Alicia and I look amongst ourselves and realize that our ten year old friend Maranda is gone!
Immediately, we begin the search. We come upon an old, deserted house, surrounded by a pit. “How are we going to get in?” Alicia asks.
Anna pulls a long wooden plank from her pocket, and, one by one, we walk across it. As I traverse this, I notice writing on it, “This is not London Bridge.” For some reason, these words frighten me greatly.
Once in the house, we are calling Maranda’s name, to no avail. She’s not in this house.
Morning lights begin to shine in the sky, and we realize we will have to give up until the next night. As we walk towards the highway, out of the trees comes Maranda!
“Hey guys!” She cries, telling us that she was never really lost. Instead, we were to find her in order to earn a Girl Scout badge…
I wake up sweating, with my blankets twisted around me, despite the fact that the dream itself really was not that scary.
