I’m sorry, okay? Carmen shoved the note in Bijoti’s book while she wasn’t looking.
After what seemed like ages, she noticed it. She looked up with a fleeting smile. She noticed a pair of eyes in the window of the classroom door.

“So, we’re friends?” Carmen asked uneasily at the door. Bijoti glanced about before answering.
“I’d like that.” She smiled intimidatingly. This time, it was Carmen who noticed a pair of eyes.
“This way.” He growled. Carmen grabbed Bijoti’s arm despite her protests and led her to the field behind the school. “Someone has been watching us.” He explained as she rubbed her arm.
“Someone_s_. I noticed in class.” Her purple eyes grew fiery. “I have my suspicions, Damien.” Bijoti turned to the shadow behind her. Suddenly, a man “materialized” before their eyes.
“You’re with this… cur.” He stated angrily.
“I am.” Her chin rose defiantly.
