Ficlets

Time

The air we shared was blessed
But the air we shared was cold
I could see every breath
In the crisp cool air
The crickets chirped
Our dry lips touched
My cold hands rubbed
Up against your arm
The clock was motionless
The timer was on the move
This minuet
Second
Chance would not last forever

For us together
In this large world
Mean nothing to passerby
But everything for us
Our lips unlocked
The clock started to tick
Time was no longer motionless
