The Chase Begins, pt 2
They found body parts in 4 rooms of the mansion’s labyrinth-like basement. Each room seemed dedicated to some specific purpose. One room contained fleshy limbs suspended in containers of different colored liquids. Another room had skeletal remains neatly stowed in boxes on shelves, all numbered and cataloged. A third room had 3 partially dissected bodies on steel tables and a bewildering assortment of medical tools and equipment. The last room contained monstrosities out of a Grimm’s Brothers fairy tale.
It was this last room where Detective Miller was concentrating his search for answers. Each “body” was composed of human and animal parts, all neatly stitched together and strapped to a slender metal frame so they could be posed like department store mannequins.
It was the poses they were in that most unnerved him. There were 4 groups of 6 bodies with each group apparently involved with some kind of ceremony. The explanation for this madness was here, he just had to see through the horror to find it.
