I watched the starry sky
Last night at nine
I watched all the stars
Brilliantly shine

But as I watched the lights
On and off they went
Until one went out
And I knew just what it meant

It told me a message
So very true
That nothing last forever
Though we may want it to

Good times come and go
Bad times too

To my surprise
I knew this when

These lights dance
