The Growing Storm
Dr. Speven looked up from the report. “Do you have any idea what sort of panic would rip across the planet if the general public ever found out?”
“You can’t tell me this isn’t something they need to know. Surely they have the right.”
“Certainly they have the right, but humanity simply isn’t ready for this sort of news. I’m barely controlling myself.” The beads of sweat forming on his forehead lent credence to his words. “It’s a staggering discovery, but I cannot fault your conclusions. Your research is flawless.”
“I wish I were wrong. This is going to change everything. Everything. I’m in shock, and I need your help. What do we do now?”
“I wish I knew. How can we tell the world that every lightning strike that has ever been seen has been caused by the arrival of an extraterrestrial visitor?”
