curiosity part 2
As I neared the true edge of the forest, my father’s deep voice resonated in my head, but another lighter, more playful voice urged me to go on. So I continued on the rocky trail. A chill wind picked up, covering my bare arms with goose bumps.
Although it was sunny, the light disappeared quickly as I wandered deeper into the forest. A clearing filled with an eerie blue light came into view and my heart was filled with a strange sort of calamity. I threw myself down in the perfectly manicured meadow and gazed about, panting and wondering where the light was coming from. It started to shift, slowly rotating around me from its location in the trees. Each time it encompassed the clearing, it came closer, finally reaching the ground. I slowly made my body stand and I follwed it like a moth does to a lamppost in the darkness.
